Kyle Cooke is breaking his silence on ex Amanda Batula and West Wilson’s new romance.

The *Summer House* star reacted to the couple officially confirming their rumored relationship in a conversation with "street journalist" Adam Glyn posted to TikTok on Wednesday.

The reality star told Glyn that he was "more concerned" about his ex than his own feelings, claiming that Batula has been getting "cyber-bullied" by the show's viewers amid the drama of her and Wilson releasing their joint statement.

"I'm obviously frustrated, I mean we have a new show coming out and there's so much that gets unpacked there," Cooke told Glyn about his relationship with Batula at this point. "I'm obviously disappointed in her...but just hearing her and hearing how unwell she is, and [her] dark thoughts, I just ask people to just, maybe, pull off the gas a little on the cyberbullying and hate."

Cooke said that he found out about the relationship "over the weekend" and got a heads-up before they posted their statement. Cooke also shared that he's spoken to costar Ciara Miller — Wilson's ex — and that Wilson himself reached out with a "half-assed text message."

He added that he doesn't "understand the timeline just yet" as fans speculate about when the pair got together.

Cooke’s response comes a day after he shot down speculation that Wilson and Batula were dating on a March episode of *Watch What Happens Live*, telling host Andy Cohen at the time that he didn’t believe there was “any merit” to the rampant romance rumors swirling around the pair.

While Cooke didn’t indicate whether or not he’d be upset if Batula and Wilson started dating, he did acknowledge that a relationship between them would undoubtedly have an impact on their friend group. After all, Batula has been close friends with Wilson’s ex for years.

"It would certainly catch me by surprise and feel a little reckless," he said. "And I think I'd probably be the last person people would be worried about. I think Ciara would probably have something to say. But if it made Amanda happy, I think I just would have to vote 'yea.'"

To his point, Miller has seemingly unfollowed both Wilson and Batula on Instagram since their announcement. Wilson and Batula, similarly, are no longer following her.

In their joint statement, Wilson and Batula explained that they’d seen online gossip about their relationship, but that “given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it."

The couple noted that what had “developed recently” between them “was the last thing either of us expected” to happen.

“Our connection grew out of a genuine, longstanding friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care,” they shared. “As our feelings evolved, we wanted to take time to understand exactly what we were feeling. We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless."

They concluded, “We truly appreciate the understanding and respect as we navigate this.”

Batula’s new relationship comes three months after she and Cooke announced their split after four years of marriage in January. Wilson, meanwhile, dated Miller for a few months before they too went their separate ways during season 8 of *Summer House*.
