Soccer stars Ashlyn Harris and Ali Krieger had been together for more than a decade when they split in 2023.
The two share a daughter, Sloane, 5, and a son, Ocean, 3.
Harris says in a new interview that she has 'respect' for Krieger as a mom.
Soccer star Ashlyn Harris says there's no ill will toward ex-wife and former teammate Ali Krieger.
"She's the mother of my children," Harris told Us Weekly for a story published Thursday. "I respect her as a mom, I respect her as a player, I respect what she's done for the game. I don't ever want to speak poorly about the mother of my children."
Harris and Krieger, who played soccer for the dominant U.S. Women's National Team, married in 2019, after dating for nearly a decade. They're the parents of 5-year-old daughter Sloane and 3-year-old son Ocean.

"When all of this news was going crazy, it was really important for me to be intentional that I was a good human during a really hard season that became very public," Harris told the outlet. "I never wanted to speak ill about the mother of my children in front of them, with other friends. It was really important to me."
The magazine also noted that Harris and her current girlfriend, actress Sophia Bush, are "co-parenting" with Krieger.
Entertainment Weekly has reached out to Krieger for comment.

In February 2025, Harris spoke with E! News about her approach to raising her children after their breakup.
"We always make sure we tell our children they get the best of two worlds," she said. "It's not this or that. Everything that the kids get to do, they get to do it twice. Everything is doubled, and I think it's exciting for them."

Her daughter "had three birthday parties, so she thinks it's the coolest thing ever," she continued. "I think she thinks her birthday party is every week."
In the new interview, Harris was very open about her feelings for Bush, who's known for projects including One Tree Hill, John Tucker Must Die, and Grey's Anatomy. The pair began dating in 2023.
"She is home," Harris said. "She is a feeling that I've been yearning and longing for for so long. I just feel my shoulders relax. I move differently."
Harris' life is the subject of a documentary, Gamechangers: The Ashlyn Harris Story, which premieres June 8 on the Roku Channel.
