As per a Closer Weekly report, Kate Middleton was concerned about the tension. A source said she knew William “only wants what’s best for the monarchy.” However, the insider added that William and Charles had “very different views” on getting there.

The report said the Prince of Wales felt his father should have acted more firmly on Andrew. It also said he was unhappy with Charles’ peace efforts toward Harry.

Meanwhile, the source claimed King Charles had gone against William’s advice more than once. The insider said Charles “decided to pursue a peace truce with Harry.” Because of that, William was reportedly “even more convinced” that his father’s judgment was “way off.”

The source added that William would “always be respectful in public.” Still, behind closed doors, he was reportedly “constantly pointing out” what he would have handled differently.

However, the report said Kate Middleton understood his frustration while fearing the larger fallout. The insider claimed William’s anger toward Harry “now seems to be aimed at his own father.” The source warned the situation could “boil over.”

Another insider line said Kate was “worried now people inside the palace are starting to notice.” The source added she feared that “the public finds out.” For Kate, the concern was the monarchy’s message. The insider said she wanted William to “see the bigger picture” before more damage followed.
