Louis C.K. is returning to Hollywood.

The comedian will headline the Hollywood Bowl on May 5 as part of the Netflix Is a Joke festival, with his upcoming stand-up special *Ridiculous *premiering globally on the streamer this summer. C.K. has been touring his *Ridiculous *set since April 2025 throughout the United States. In 2026, he took the comedy show international, performing in the UK, Europe, Turkey, India, Thailand, Manila, Eastern Asia, and Japan.

The Netflix special will be his first released with a major distributor since his last special on the streamer in 2017.

The comedian was accused of sexual misconduct in November 2017 amid the #MeToo movement, when allegations from five women regarding incidents spanning years came to light, as reported by *The New York Times*. In a statement, C.K. responded to the allegations: "These stories are true," he confirmed.

"The power I had over these women is that they admired me. And I wielded that power irresponsibly. I have been remorseful of my actions. And I’ve tried to learn from them. And run from them. Now I’m aware of the extent of the impact of my actions."

"The hardest regret to live with is what you’ve done to hurt someone else. And I can hardly wrap my head around the scope of hurt I brought on them," he continued. C.K. concluded his statement noting, "I have spent my long and lucky career talking and saying anything I want. I will now step back and take a long time to listen."

Once the accusations surfaced, Netflix and FX severed their relationships with C.K., with FX removing him from his role as executive producer as well as any subsequent earnings. He had his name attached to *Better Things*, *Baskets*, the Amazon series *One Mississippi*, and the TBS animated series, *The Cops*.

“Louis has now confirmed the truth of the reports relating to the five women victimized by his misconduct, which we were unaware of previously," FX said in a statement, per *The New York Times*. “As far as we know, his behavior over the past eight years on all five series he has produced for FX Networks and/or FX Productions has been professional.”

“However, now is not the time for him to make television shows. Now is the time for him to honestly address the women who have come forth to speak about their painful experiences, a process which he began today with his public statement.”

"When life f---s it up for you, when it gets torn up, it's a relief," the comedian said at the time. "That's why I felt free, because I had tried to manage these problems I had inside of me for so many years. And I tried to feel like I was a normal person. Or that I was what I thought of as a good person, but I was doing s--- in the background of my life that I was ashamed of.

"All of that is, like, you can't manage it. And so when you're in front of the world and that's going on inside of you, it's real hell," he added.

Tickets to see C.K. at the Hollywood Bowl go on sale on Monday, April 6, at 10 a.m. PT.
