Lamar Odom said his reunion with ex-wife Khloé Kardashian for their Netflix documentary was "awkward" during an appearance on Today with Jenna & Sheinelle on Monday, April 6
Odom said he felt the reunion "wasn't really good for me" but added, "once you family, you're always family, so she ain't going nowhere"
The former NBA star admitted he hasn't watched the entire Netflix docuseries episode about his life
Lamar Odom had a tough time reuniting with his ex-wife Khloé Kardashian when they filmed their interviews for his Netflix docuseries episode, the former NBA star admitted.
Odom, 46, was asked in an interview with Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones on Monday, April 6, what it was like reuniting with Kardashian, 41, for the Netflix documentary episode Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom, and he didn't mince words.
"It was awkward, and it wasn’t really good for me," Odom told the Today hosts, adding, "but you know, once you family you're always family, so she ain't going nowhere."

When asked if he still loves the reality star and would consider attempting to rekindle their romance, Odom said, "Well, I will always have love for her, but being in love, no."
The former Laker said there was "a lot of love there" between him and Kardashian when they wed in 2009 after just 30 days together, and complimented her mother Kris Jenner on being "able to put a beautiful wedding together" at the time.
"I don't regret it," Odom said of their marriage.

The Netflix show revealed previously unknown details about the aftermath of Odom's 2015 overdose in a Nevada brothel, including that Kardashian punched her ex-husband in the face after finding him "smoking crack" in the home she was renting for him after he finished rehab. Both Kardashian and Odom open up in the episode about the demise of their relationship while the reality star was attempting to help Odom recover.
When asked if he feels Kardashian helped save his life, Odom replied, "in some ways," but said he ultimately believes "God saved my life."
"She took care of me," Odom said of Kardashian, "but God took care of me the most and what I came back from was like, a medical miracle," he added.
Odom also admitted to Jones and Hager that he hasn't watched the entire episode yet. "But I plan to," said Odom, who shared that the picture of himself lying in a hospital bed after his overdose "probably hits the most" emotionally.
Kardashian initially filed to dissolve their marriage in December 2013, but the divorce stalled as they attempted to mend their relationship. Odom and Kardashian's divorce was finalized in December 2016.
Following her divorce from Odom, Kardashian was in an on-and-off relationship with Tristan Thompson until 2021. She has not been publicly linked to anyone romantically since their split.
