Kate Middleton debuted a new piece of jewelry just weeks after her 44th birthday, raising speculation that it could be a birthday gift from Prince William.
On Feb. 5, the Prince and Princess of Wales held a meeting with Archbishop Sarah Mullally, the new Archbishop of Canterbury, at Lambeth Palace in London. Mullally is the first female Archbishop of Canterbury in the Church of England's 1,428-year history, and Princess Kate slipped on a new necklace for the occasion.
The Princess of Wales brought the glimmer with a gold heart pendant on a paper clip chain, widely identified as by Daniella Draper.
Kate's necklace looked like the British brand's Gold Keeper's Heart Trace Chain Necklace, which retails beginning at $2,200 without personalization.

The Gold Keeper's Heart Trace Chain Necklace is handmade in England with recycled 9ct yellow gold. According to the jeweler, the piece symbolizes "love and connection" and "captures the essence of affection, serving as a meaningful reminder of your everlasting love."
Princess Kate's heart pendant also appeared to be engraved, though the personalization was difficult to discern.

The Princess of Wales turned 44 on Jan. 9 and debuted the necklace one month later, sparking the thought that it could be a birthday present.
Prince William, 43, has previously given his wife meaningful jewelry through the years, including the iconic sapphire and diamond engagement ring that previously belonged to his late mother, Princess Diana. It is also widely believed that he gave her a white gold and diamond Annoushka eternity ring following the birth of their first child, Prince George, now 12, and she continues to wear the ring often today.
The Princess of Wales has several Daniella Draper necklaces in her collection, personalized with the initials of her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7. Perhaps her best-known necklace from the label is her Gold Diamond Midnight Moon Necklace, engraved with G, C and L and three diamond stars.

Princess Kate has had her Gold Diamond Midnight Moon necklace in her jewelry box since at least 2020, and Draper previously told PEOPLE it meant much to see her wear it.
Calling Kate an "incredible role model," Draper said. "I look up to her as a young woman and a mother. Seeing her wearing one of my designs was a very proud moment. Everyone in the workshop thinks it's just amazing. It's good morale!"
