Elle Fanning revealed she and costar Michelle Pfeiffer almost got arrested while in Las Vegas while filming the Apple TV show *Margo's Got Money Troubles*. Behind-the-scenes footage was shown during her appearance on *The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon** *showing the exact moment they got pulled over — and how their NSFW accessories stole the show.

Pfeiffer plays Fanning's mom in the series, and in one episode, she gets married to Kenny (Greg Kinnear) and they have a bachelorette party in Las Vegas. "In the show, we got a big pink stretch limo. And we have crude bachelorette regalia on our heads," she said, referring to the penis headbands they wore in the scene.

"And so we had our heads out of the sunroof, and we're driving down the strip and we're going, 'Yeah!'" she recalled, "I've never done that before. And I don't think Michelle has, either. We're like, 'This is like a bucket-list thing.'"

Things took an unexpected turn, however, when they heard, "Ladies! Get down! Get down!" behind them. "Sirens are going, and we're just staying in the scene. Like, we're trying to be professional, you know? And we're like, 'This is surely not for us. Like, what's this a part of?'"

Fanning noted that they had a police escort with them for the scene and didn't think much of the commotion. "And then they're like, 'No! Get down! Get down! We will arrest you! We will arrest you!'" she continued.

The actors started to crouch down, and "our little penis, you know, head things are, like, you know, right out the sunroof," Fanning continued, miming antennae coming out of her head. "And we're crouching down, and they pulled us over because they said, 'You're not allowed to do this.'"

This, Fanning revealed, was putting your head outside a sunroof, which shocked the late-night host. "Thing of the past," she quipped. Fanning explained that they did get clearance to do the risky move, however, and the officer who pulled them over wasn't aware.

"But, yeah, we almost got arrested. I never got arrested before." Fallon then showed footage of the exact moment a police car came up behind them.

*Margo's Got Money Troubles* is based on the 2024 book of the same name by Rufi Thorpe. The show, which also stars Nick Offerman, Nicole Kidman, Thaddea Graham, and Marcia Gay Harden, got renewed for a second season in May.
