Former Tennessee pitcher Chad Dallas (1-0) made his Major League Baseball debut on Thursday for Toronto (30-33). The Blue Jays defeated Atlanta (42-21), 7-2, at Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia.
Dallas pitched 3.2 innings in relief and recorded two strikeouts and 68 pitches, including 38 strikes, against 15 batters. He allowed two hits, one run (one earned) and two walks. Dallas earned his first win.
The Blue Jays hit two ground outs and seven fly outs against the right-handed pitcher.
Dallas played at Tennessee from 2020-21 after transferring from Panola College in Carthage, Texas. He appeared in 21 games, including 21 starts, for the Vols and had a 14-2 record.

Dallas totaled 143 strikeouts and a 3.91 ERA. His career-high for strikeouts in a game was 12 against LSU on June 12, 2021. Dallas' career-high for innings pitched in a game was 7.2 versus South Carolina on May 20, 2021.
He was selected in the fourth round of 2021 MLB draft by Toronto.
