Bad Bunny confessed he's no good at sports during a press conference ahead of his Super Bowl LX halftime show performance

"I grew up watching sports [but] playing sports very bad," the "DtMF" singer said

Elsewhere in the conversation, the "Ojitos Lindo" singer said the performance was going to be a "huge party"

Bad Bunny may be headlining the Super Bowl LX Halftime Show — but he claims he's never been athletic himself.

On Thursday, Feb. 5, the Puerto Rican star was asked about his history with sports during the Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show Press Conference.

"Well, I'm not good at sports," Bad Bunny, 31, said. "But I do love sports. I come from Puerto Rico and there's a huge sport culture there. Baseball, boxing, basketball, a lot of sport. Actually, we have a football player playing at the Super Bowl from Puerto Rico."

"So yeah, I grew up watching sports [but] playing sports very bad," he said.

He did note, however, that sports and music are his favorite "combination."

"There's something that makes me feel passion about that," he added.

Though Bad Bunny claimed he's not good at sports, he has shown fans his impressive skills in the wrestling ring on WWE.

Elsewhere in the elsewhere in the press conference, Bad Bunny, born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, said he wanted viewers to have a good time during his performance.

"I just want people to have fun. It’s gonna be a huge party and what people can always expect from me," the "Ojitos Lindo" singer said. "Of course a lot of my culture, but I really don't want to give any spoilers."

"It's going to be fun and it's going to be easy and people only have to worry about dance. I know that I told them that they only have four months to learn Spanish," he said. "They don't even have to learn Spanish. It's better that they learn to dance but I think there's no better dance than the one that comes from the heart."

Bad Bunny previously appeared on the Super Bowl halftime show stage with Shakira and Jennifer Lopez at Super Bowl LIV. In an interview with with Variety in October, Shakira said his headlining slot was well-deserved.

"It’s about time," Shakira, 49, said. "I remember when we did ours that even having part of our set in Spanish was a bold move… Acceptance of Spanish-language music as part of the mainstream has come so far from when I started."

She added that she was "so proud" to watch Bad Bunny perform on "the biggest stage in the world" as he "represents not only Latin culture but also how important Spanish language music has become on a global scale and how universal it has become."

"It's the perfect moment for a performance like this," she concluded. "I can't wait to watch it."

The Super Bowl LX Halftime Show will air live on NBC and Telemundo on Sunday, Feb. 8 from Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.. Fans can also stream the performance on Peacock.
